The Ladies 18-Hole Association at The Country Club at Castle Pines is a group of approximately 80 women who enjoy the game of golf, socializing, and helping those in need. Each year the group holds a fundraiser for a select charity and this year the group was excited to share their love of giving with their love of golf.

The group worked with First Tee of Denver to offer a day of golf to under-served girls from inner city Denver. First Tee of Denver began in 2001 and offers instructional and fun golf programs to kids from Denver who may not have the opportunity to learn the game of golf otherwise.

The Ladies 18-Hole Association covered the costs for the entire day and raised additional funds for the First Tee Foundation. Each girl from First Tee of Denver was given a golf shirt, hat, a sleeve of balls and the opportunity to play a round of golf at the beautiful country club. Additionally, the girls enjoyed making their own pizzas for lunch with the club chef.

Cindy Lantz is a member of the Ladies 18-Hole Association and was excited about the way the day turned out. “The girls that were there truly enjoyed the day. They made their own pizzas and had an ice cream bar afterwards – the whole day was just really special. It was a very fun and rewarding experience for the ladies that got to spend the day with the girls.”
