Colorado Master Gardeners Offer Holiday Gift Idea

The Sagebrush Press, written by Colorado Master Gardeners of Douglas County and CSU Cooperative Extension staff, is a free publication with lots of gardening information.

The quarterly newsletter has a winter, spring, summer, and fall issue. Although the Winter issue is not on the press yet, probable topics include: tree and shrub pruning, bulb forcing, winter perennial care, perusing seed catalogs, starting vegetable seedlings and houseplants.

Topics typically found in the Spring issue are annual plant care, sod and seeding of lawns, soil amendments, common plant pathogens, transplanting perennials, xeriscaping, vegetable gardening and insects. Summer and Fall issues of The Sagebrush Press have similar topics with timely information.

To order your free copy, call (720) 733-6930, or send your name and mailing address to jboussel@douglas.co.us in order to receive the next issue at the beginning of the New Year.

Or, find old issues on the web at: www.coopext.colostate.edu/douglas/hort_files/sagebrush.htm.
