On Sunday, September 12, parent volunteers at Timber Trail Elementary hosted “A Taste of Timber Trail.” The event featured a variety of carnival games, jump castles, various food vendors and a silent auction. More than 30 community businesses participated in the event.
“We had more than 60 volunteers help with this event, including 25 high school students,” said Sherry James, Timber Trail PTO President and Greenbriar resident. “Our goal was to bring the community together to help raise funds for the school.”
During the event, Timber Trail PTO reached half of their fund raising goal for the school year. James said funds will be used towards the purchase of new books, software and other technology needs, music department items and other special events for students.
