Residents Have a Variety of Recreation Centers to Choose From

With winter fast approaching, many residents in CPN are searching for indoor recreation facilities.

Historically, CPN residents have used the Recreation Centers in Castle Rock or Parker. This winter, there’s also a new choice, the Lone Tree Recreation Center near Sky Ridge Hospital.

The Lone Tree facility features a fitness studio with a variety of classes, a weight room, a cardiovascular center, a running track, racquetball, wallyball and handball courts, and a gymnasium. Water amenities include a zero-depth entry play pool, slide, lazy river, and three lap lanes.

CPN residents pay the “non-resident” rate at all of these facilities. Click here for more information on these centers, and other public recreation centers that are further from home, but recommended by your neighbors.

Residents will also notice another recreation center under construction on McArthur Ranch Road, a mile west of Rock Canyon High School. While the new center is relatively close to CPN, this will be a private facility, which can only be used by residents of Highlands Ranch.

In fact, all four Highlands Ranch Recreation centers are private facilities for Highlands Ranch HOA members only. HOA dues from Highlands Ranch homeowners will fund the new $15 million facility, which will be larger than any of the “public” recreation centers in the county.

Residents who wish to join a private health club may choose from south-metro area clubs such as Colorado Athletic Club at Inverness, Greenwood Athletic, or 24-Hour Fitness. A new option is Village Fitness, which opened recently in Castle Pines Village at the corner of Santa Fe and Happy Canyon Road.
