On November 11th, Castle Rock’s first movie theatre opened to the public. Located at the intersection of Meadows Parkway and Prairie Hawk Drive, the theatre was long awaited by Castle Rock residents.
The theatre was designed for 2,200 patrons in 12 different theatres. Each theatre varies in size from 100 to 300 seats. All seating is stadium-style. The theatre has been designed to be the centerpiece of a proposed “town center” which will feature restaurants and shops.
Those willing to support a cause got a sneak preview of theatre with a Community Cinema night on November 10th, to raise funds for Douglas County Educational Foundation and the Task Force of Douglas County. These organizations received a portion of ticket and concession sales.
Throughout the holiday season, movie-goers can look forward to some of Hollywood’s hottest releases including: Chicken Little, Harry Potter and the Goblet of Fire, King Kong, The Chronicles of Narnia, Jarhead, Walk the Line and many others.
