Castle Pines North Businesses Host OctoberFest Fun!

By Elean Gersack

With falling leaves and overcast skies, local residents and visitors enjoyed a beautiful fall day in Castle Pines North (CPN) during OctoberFest on Saturday, October 14. This annual event, sponsored by local CPN businesses, has become a fall favorite for those who live in and around the area.

Families strolled through The Village Square and Safeway Shopping Centers enjoying food, drink, children’s activities, local vendors, and art, while others hopped on horse-drawn carriages to get a scenic tour of the festival. Michael Walsh and the Steve Rock Band performed on separate stages during the event as clowns and face painters created balloon and art masterpieces for kids.

Many CPN kids enjoyed the rock climbing wall. Others flipped around on the bungee jump and bounced around in bounce castles. The Douglas County Sheriff, Colorado State Patrol, and South Metro Fire Rescue were on hand to offer safety information for children and adults as well as to provide sneak peeks into patrol and fire rescue vehicles.

The CPN Master Association sponsored bounce castles during the event and offered a pre-sale for the Holiday Carriage Rides. “We had a lot of interest in reserving entire carriages this year, so we thought OctoberFest would be a great time to offer this to local residents,” said Carla Kenny, CPN Master Association Event Planner.

Many thanks to the CPN Businesses that sponsored this year’s event: Colorado Capital Bank, Prudential Preferred Real Estate, Safeway, Village Square Center, Castle Rock Bank, Countrywide Loans, Liberty Mutual, and the Castle Pines North Master Association.
