“A woman on a mission” is a perfect phrase to describe Jennifer Leete. In September, Leete was the guest speaker at the Denver Tech Center Business and Professional Women’s Network monthly luncheon; only she arrived under her pseudonym, The Bubble Goddess.

Leete began with a question that stilled the room, that being “Anyone here been touched by cancer in their families?” Hands went up all over the Curtis Ballroom in the Landmark Development. She went on to say American women are eight times more likely than women in other countries to develop some type of cancer. On average, women use up to 80 beauty products a day. Known carcinogens in most products, from make-up to hair care to antimicrobial soaps, are causing the cancers.

Leete shared a table full of her natural and organic bath and body products, which the women attendees happily proceeded to sample before hearing Leete’s story:

Leete determined she wanted to create a safer environment for herself and her family in a round-about way when she moved from Southern California to Castle Pines North five years ago. Pregnant at the time, she wanted to stay home and raise her son, so working outside the home was not the answer.

Leete’s culinary background led her to the kitchen where she began formulating natural soaps and lotions. Before long, family and friends were asking for her products, and The Bubble Goddess Bath Company was formed.

Luxurious bath salts such as Loosen Up! Mineral bath for sore muscles, Bergamot and Lime lotions, Fusion Body Scrub, bar soaps such as Rosemary and Aloe Baby, and Germ Buster room and surface spray made from the powerful antimicrobial cinnamon bark graced her display table.

Leete wanted to offer other moms a chance to stay home and raise their families, all the while contributing to a safe product movement.

The Bubble Goddess Bath Company now employs 30 distributors. She has been featured in Fitness & Lifestyle magazine because of her efforts to educate people on the unhealthy products they use daily.

Calling it a “Buycott”, Leete said consumers can demand safer products with their wallets when they choose to purchase only one hundred percent natural and local products; she is proud to offer both.

Currently, The Bubble Goddess Bath Company is seeking a $100,000 grant to aid in expanding to include a hair care line. Celebrity judges include Ellen DeGeneres.
