Residents of Castle Pines Village (CPV) and Castle Pines North (CPN) pitched in to help with the annual Castle Rock Senior Center Volunteer Appreciation luncheon.

The luncheon was held in honor of the hundreds of seniors who volunteer at the center throughout the year. CPV residents Sue, Cooper, Debbie Hill, Tracey McCarthy, Linda Walker and CPN resident Bridget Milnes, all members of the Castle Rock Democrats, worked side by side with the Rotary Club of Castle Rock setting up, serving and cleaning up.

Ongoing projects for the Castle Rock Democrats include work with Denver Dumb Friends League Buddy Center, Women’s Crisis Center and the Castle Rock Senior Center. Future projects include local activities with the American Cancer Society and Packages for Troops.

“The Castle Rock Democrats believe that by giving of their time, energy and money, they help to make a positive difference in the community,” said Hill.

The Castle Rock Democrats meet on the fourth Tuesday of the month at 7pm at the Philip S. Miller Library in Castle Rock.
