RidgeGate Interchange now open

In May, the City of Lone Tree celebrated the grand opening of the RidgeGate Interchange off I-25 (above).
The Interchange is designed to alleviate the increasing traffic congestion along Lincoln Avenue, approximately one mile north of the RidgeGate Parkway Interchange. Lincoln Avenue, on any given day, has approximately 67,000 vehicles traveling on it and I-25 south from Lincoln Avenue carries approximately 92,700 vehicles. Much needed regional transportation connections to E-470, Parker Road and Castle Pines Parkway are provided by the new Interchange. The Colorado Department of Transportation is currently building a two-lane, 2 1/2 mile road, just east of I-25. It will connect RidgeGate Parkway and Castle Pines Parkway.
The RidgeGate Interchange design has a partial cloverleaf of two loop ramps and was built for the six-lane RidgeGate Parkway and an eight-lane I-25. In addition, a 12-foot path and an 8-foot sidewalk were constructed along RidgeGate Parkway at the Interchange, both elevated above the street.
