Speed Limit Increase Postponed

by Terri Wiebold

The City of Castle Pines North has postponed increasing the speed limit on Yorkshire Drive from 25 mph to 30 mph following calls from concerned citizens.

According to the City Director of Public Works Eric Guth, the city received a few calls from concerned residents about the increase. Guth stated, “It was subsequently decided that since this street is such a well traveled street, and with the school traffic added, the city felt they wanted more public input before moving ahead with the change.”

City Council will discuss and give further consideration to this speed limit increase during the City Council meeting scheduled for November 12 at 7 p.m. Council meetings are held at the CPN Community Center, 7404 Yorkshire Drive and are open to the public.

Contact Eric Guth with questions.
