Castle Pines North residents Debbie and Eric Brown met when they were 12 years old and have been “connected at the hip” ever since. Eric is the chief delivery officer and co-founder of Notion ONE and Debbie keeps the company books. They have three children and enjoy training for and participating in triathalons. They are both native Coloradans and say they love living in the Castle Pines community!

Notion ONE, a trusted provider of IT services and website design and hosting, was recently recognized by the Denver Business Journal as one of the fastest growing companies in Colorado.

Castle Pines North resident Eric Brown is the chief delivery officer and co-founder of the Greenwood Village-based software business. According to Brown, modest beginnings set the stage for successful growth of the company, but it is the company’s approach to people that Brown attributes for its true success.

“Our high touch, highly sympathetic relationship with our clients is what sets us apart” said Brown. “We always strive to form a partnership with our clients instead of just provide them a service.”

Brown and his business partner of nearly five years, award winning software developer Tyler Brinks, recognized a demand for a more personal approach to IT servicing while working together as developers and consultants in the Denver office of Minnesota-based Born Information Services.

“There is a certain comrodery with businesses in this industry,” said Brown, “and small business likes to do business with small business.” When Born Information Services under went an acquisition in 2005, Brown and Brinks decided to leverage their skills and connections and to branch out on their own, forming Notion ONE.

Brown quickly learned that running a small business can take over your entire life. He says that having consistency between who he is at the office and who he is on Sunday morning is important to him, and working with good people (including his wife) has helped with that.

“Tyler and I are both Christians, which not only guides many of the decisions we make, but it permeates the business and how we handle ourselves,” said Brown.

Notion ONE actively supports Compassion International, a Christian child advocacy ministry, by “adopting” a compassion child for each of its (19) full-time emloyees. It also provides pro bono web design, development, and hosting services for Wellspring Community- a group dedicated to empowering adults with special needs.
