Canine Festival comes to Castle Pines Village

The Castle Pines Canine Festival was held in conjunction with the European Market at the Village at Castle Pinesin June. The festival was organized by The Pet Stuff Place and provided an opportunity for visitors to mingle with different vendors, offering many services and products pertaining to pet care.

Nikeno’s Second Chance adoption shelter accepts animals from other area shelters that have “run out time,” which results in the animals avoiding euthanasia. Representatives from Tails Up, Castle Rock’s newest pet care facility, were available to answer questions. Dr. Shawn Wayment DVM, answered questions about the Animal Care Center, in Castle Rock. The full service pet clinic is dedicated to veterinary care and pet health management. A representative from Stella and Chewy’s explained about its wholesome, less processed pet food for dogs and cats. A veterinary nutritionist helped develop the all natural, frozen and freeze dried, raw food. For more information visit www.stellaandchewys.com.

Doug Kokatvy, the author of, The Legacy of Beezer and Boomer, inspired folks with the story of his “dog brothers.” He autographed books all morning for patrons.

The Canine Festival was a definite success. “Everyone had the chance to see many adoptable cats and dogs and learn more about training, grooming, feeding and medical care for their pets,” said Sharon Adams, owner of The Pet Stuff Place.

Look for this to become an annual event in the Castle pines community. Everyone enjoyed learning more about dog training, veterinary care, day care, boarding, mobile bathing services and nutrition.
