Anthonette Klinkerman, a.k.a Courtesy Boot Camp’s “Colonel Klink” has a new addition to her manners seminars; a book. Klinkerman, a six-year resident of The Retreat neighborhood in Castle Pines North, has been hosting manners and etiquette seminars through her company Courtesy Boot Camp since February of last year. Klinkerman’s mobile courtesy seminars are quite lively and are full of audience participation.

The success of these seminars left patrons requesting something written to take home with them. As Klinkerman commented, “I know that every stack of handouts I have ever been given in a seminar have ended up in the recycle bin, so a book made more sense.”

The content of the book includes cell phone and electronics etiquette reminders, thank you note etiquette, job relations suggestions such as not pilfering the food of co-workers from the office refrigerator. Also included are interview tips, behavior at the movies and restaurants, driving manners, and basic daily courtesy points such as acknowledging your cashier as a human being.

Klinkerman says, “The book is little by design, as most of us will not be having dinner at the White House any time soon. We really need just essential reminders to put away the little toys and pay attention to the live person.” The book is available through Klinkerman’s website for $7.95 at www.courtesybootcamp.com and is the perfect size for a stocking stuffer.

In addition, Klinkerman was honored as one of four keynote speakers last month for the City of Englewood’s Summit for Professional Growth. The Summit for Professional Growth is a four-day training conference that delivers training to public sector employees in the Denver metropolitan region.
