Post Office CORRECTION

The United States Postal Service has provided further clarification on its preferred and acceptable city uses for the 80108 zip code.

According to the acting manager of consumer affairs for the Colorado/Wyoming district, Alex Turner, “Castle Rock” is the proper city for uses in Castle Pines Village, the City of Castle Pines North, and unincorporated areas of Douglas County that fall into the 80108 zip code.

“The city name is one of the least important identifiers we use to identify where an item is to be delivered,” said Turner. “First we look at the zip code, then the actual street, then what state it is going to. The city name is somewhat arbitrary and you are probably going to get your mail, but the official preferred and acceptable usage should show “Castle Rock.”
