The City of Castle Pines and the Castle Pines Arts Commission sponsored the city’s first Run Wild 5k and 10k event on Saturday, October 20 on the streets of Castle Pines. Beginning at Coyote Ridge Park, and ending at Elk Ridge Park, the event included a family 1k color run at Elk Ridge Park as well as a pancake breakfast.

With 96 runners participating in the 5k and 10k runs and numerous others joining in the family color run, all proceeds raised benefitted the Castle Pines Arts Commission and will go toward the Castle Pines branch of the Douglas County Libraries.

Top male 10k runner with a time of 39:10, David Cullum, and top female 10k runner with a time of 47:15, Heather Crosby, each won a $100 gift card from Boulder Running Company in the Denver Tech Center. For a complete list of finishing times, visit the event website at www.runwild.info.
