The Castle Crocs Swim Team wrapped up its seventh season with an end-of-year potluck party at Coyote Ridge Park on July 15. The Crocs finished off its first year in the A division with more than 200 swimmers.

The Crocs won the Sportsmanship Award for the fourth consecutive year. Parent representative Kathleen Steffe remarked, “It’s a tribute to our dedicated volunteers who go above and beyond, our helpful coaches and our swimmers shaking the hands of our competitors, win or lose.  I’m sure the heat-winner awards and the candy helped sway the voting too! Although the other teams may have beaten us in points, we couldn’t be more proud of this achievement!”

The Crocs had 38 swimmers qualify for All Stars, which is the most they have ever had.  2012 Boys All Star Qualifiers listed by age: Dylan Brand (8), Michael Ferraro (8), Colin Gardner (8), Connor Jessen (8), Jack Barton (9), Carter Brand (10), Ben Gardner (10), Ryan Tierney (10), Dalton Walker (9), Declan Carter (12), Fionn Cool (12), Alec Celecki (14), Andrew Steavpack (14), Reid Warburton (14), Theodore Koerner (15), Will Steffe (15), Jeremy Swiatek (15), Jared Jordan (17), Steve Sattem (17), and Forrest Templin (17).
