The public is invited to Schweiger Ranch’s annual Fall Festival for a day of seasonal family fun. Schweiger Ranch is located within the RidgeGate development at 10822 Valley Hwy., just south of Lincoln Avenue, on the east side of I-25 at RidgeGate Parkway. The Fall Festival is free to the public and will be held Sunday, October 14, from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. Activities will include hay wagon rides, making scarecrows, picking pumpkins, hay bale throwing/dragging competition, historic ranch tours and activities (bread and butter-making), alpaca and farm animals, and fall craft and food vendor booths.

The Austrian-born Schweiger brothers owned and operated the original 4,000-acre ranch from 1874 to 1970. Today, the 38-acre ranch property hosts a house, barn, brick silo, several outbuildings, an apple orchard, and active bee hives. The ranch is owned by the Schweiger Ranch Foundation, established in 2006, and was donated to the Foundation by RidgeGate Investments.
