GO MD brings medical/urgent care services to your home

By Elizabeth Wood West

Have you, a family member, or elderly loved one had a medical emergency or serious illness, but your doctor’s office and urgent care clinic were closed? Are you too busy to get some medical tests done outside your home?

Lawrence Scariano, M.D. of GoMD Medical HouseCall Service (GoMD) is now offering exams, lab tests, EKG and ultrasound screenings, medications, medical supplies, and other services within the convenience and privacy of your home. Scariano’s service area covers communities along I-25, from Castle Rock to Greenwood Village, and parts of Highlands Ranch, Littleton, and Parker.

Scariano, a Castle Pines resident, is board certified in internal medicine and has more than twenty years experience in acute/urgent care, emergency medicine, hospital medicine, and primary care. He completed medical school at the University of Illinois and his residency at St. John’s Mercy Hospital in St. Louis. Scariano was the medical director of one of the largest emergency medical services in the St. Louis area.

Scariano and his wife, an OB/GYN physician, moved their family to the Castle Pines community in 2005 after a medical insurance crisis in the region caused a shortage of physicians. This unfortunately led to an excessive workload and a critical loss of family time for Scariano.

Scariano said, “I believe the time is now for a new and unique medical practice that provides state-of-the-art urgent care and coordination with primary care physicians, hospitals, and home-health agencies. GoMD can ensure that patients are seen in follow-up visits after a hospitalization and help reduce hospital re-admissions. Because of my experience, I can extend hospitalist-level care to those who no longer require hospitalization, who are otherwise unable or unwilling to see a physician in an office or clinic.”

Scariano continued, “With GoMD, I can provide an urgent/non-emergent level of care that would cost upwards of $1,500 in an ER for less than $300, and I can do it in the comfort of someone’s own home, and after insurance, their out-of-pocket expense can be as little as $50.”

GoMD is open 6-7 days a week, often 24 hours a day, including most holidays. For further information or to schedule an appointment, visit
