Northstar’s Castle Pines Village Filing 38 approved

Northstar Land LLC (Northstar) received final approval in September from the Board of County Commissioners for a combined preliminary and final plat application for its project, Castle Pines Village Filing No. 38. This particular phase of the project includes the final lotting pattern, location of all roads, easements, and floodplain areas.
Douglas County planning staff member Matt Jakubowski said now that the project has been approved, Northstar has 60 days to record the plat and may at that time proceed with obtaining permits for site preparation and could begin excavation this fall.
Northstar originally submitted the project to the county in 2011. The 31.3-acre project plans for 52 single-family detached residential lots and 16.5 acres of open space.
The project is located within the southeast portion of Castle Pines Village, near Remington Place, adjacent to the west side of I-25.
