What kid does not like a sweet treat after school on a hot and sunny day? Twice in recent weeks, students at Buffalo Ridge Elementary (BRE) were greeted out the walker door by the cherished Kona Ice Truck. Kona Ice of Castle Rock serves cones of shaved ice with colorful and tasty flavors.
Kids can order their rainbow colored sweet, or they can create their own by squirting flavored syrups from the self-serve Flavorwave.
Even better, Kona Ice donated 25 percent of its proceeds from sales on the two visits to BRE back to the school. Truly a sweet treat for the students and the school!
