Solid Life Church moves to new home

A Castle Pines church with deep roots in the community is moving just a few miles up the road to Lone Tree to spread its branches. Solid Life Church, which began eight years ago in the Castle Pines Community Center and then moved to Timber Trail Elementary School will begin holding Sunday services at the Lone Tree Marriott in May. Its Friday night youth group will continue to meet at Timber Trail.
Co-Lead Pastors Becky and Russ Stutzman said that the new venue has amenities that will be beneficial to their congregation.
“We’ll have more space here and more opportunities for socialization since set-up and tear-down will be handled by the hotel rather than by us,” said Russ Stutzman. “People are also looking forward to being able to have coffee, which is available here in the hotel.”
Solid Life is a non-denominational Christian church, which the Stutzmans “planted” in 2004. A year after the church was founded, they began to meet at Timber Trail Elementary, and have forged a relationship with that school community that the Stutzmans say they hope to continue to foster even though their Sunday services will now be held in a new location.
“We want to grow and reach out to a wider group; this new location is only four miles up the road,” said Stutzman. “This church has a culture of serving and loving people and this move will open more opportunities.”
The church is in conversations with The Canyons development (on the east side of I-25 in the City of Castle Pines) to potentially build a church there at some point in the future, but no firm plans have been made.
“Our heart is in Castle Pines and with this community, and we want to continue to serve this community,” said Becky Stutzman.
Solid Life Church sponsors Castle Pines’ annual Easter Egg Hunt at Coyote Ridge Park, this year adding a food drive to the event. In excess of 500 pounds of food was collected and donated to the Douglas/Elbert Task Force food bank.
Sunday Services for Solid Life Church at the Lone Tree Marriott hotel will begin Sunday, May 6 at 10 a.m. The Marriott is located at 10345 Park Meadows Drive in Lone Tree.
