A hot day for hot rods in Castle Pines Village

Article and photos by Amy Shanahan

The fifth annual Hot Rods in the Village Car Show took place on a beautiful, hot sunny day in The Village at Castle Pines. With more than fifty participants, attendees enjoyed viewing everything from vintage coupes and sedans to classic trucks, muscle cars, and hot rods.

The event was sponsored by The Vintage Car Club of Castle Rock, and all proceeds benefited the Douglas Elbert Task Force and Harvest Food Outreach. Live music set the background for fun, good food by local merchants, Italian ices, and a beer garden provided by the Douglas County Veterans Monument Foundation.
