Help give victims a voice and families a future

Information provided by The Women’s Crisis & Family Outreach Center

The Women’s Crisis & Family Outreach Center (TWCFOC) will be holding its 6th Annual Future for Families Gala on Friday, November 8 at the Inverness Hotel and Conference Center in Englewood. The event will be from 6 p.m. to 10 p.m.

This year’s Mistress of Ceremonies will be Ms. Colorado State America 2013 Michelle Marie, and the keynote speaker will be Theresa Ramirez. Ramirez, who was seven years old when her mother was murdered by her boyfriend, made it her mission to pursue reopening an 18 year old cold case. Through her dedication and determination she was able to help bring her mother’s killer to justice. She will be speaking about her experience and how pivotal agencies such as TWCFOC are to the community.

TWCFOC hopes to break the cycle of violence by uniting the community. The Future for Families Gala will be an evening of dinner, dancing, live and silent auctions, and live entertainment. This event brings together approximately 350 TWCFOC supporters in an elegant, memorable, and fun time.

With its inception more than 25 years ago, the agency provides programs and services to any domestic violence victim requesting those services. The organization realizes the impact of domestic violence and the need for change. Although TWCFOC is committed to making this change, it cannot be done alone. Community involvement and visibility is a must.
