Lone Tree Arts Center Guild open to new members

The Lone Tree Arts Center (LTAC) is very fortunate to have an active guild, whose sole mission is to support and promote the arts in south Denver.
The Guild was started in 2010, shortly after the LTAC opened. A group of local residents recognized the value and opportunity that the new LTAC offered residents of south Denver, and they made it their mission to promote the venue and raise funds for its continued success.
Since that time, the Guild has actively participated in many events at the LTAC, including the opening gala in 2011, the Christmas tree lighting in December 2012, outdoor musical concerts, and theatrical productions.
Guild President Maggie Eichenlaub is a resident of Castle Pines Village and truly enjoys her close ties to the LTAC. “My favorite part of being in the guild is helping to plan creative events that are arts focused and fundraising events that benefit the Arts Center.”
The guild operates under the umbrella of the Lone Tree Cultural Arts Foundation, a 501(c)(3) non-profit organization whose mission is to ensure the LTAC meets current and future needs of the community. Guild volunteers also work at the LTAC in a number of capacities. The volunteer usher and lobby team provides a high level of service to patrons attending performances, and the office and project volunteers assist with office and administrative support.
The Guild meets monthly to discuss business, but each meeting is coordinated with an interesting or fun event. In April, the Guild met at the LTAC for a presentation by Colorado’s premier nature photographer John Fielder. Fielder is a renowned photographer who has published 33 books of photography. He has received numerous awards for his work as a preservationist working to promote the protection of Colorado’s open spaces and wildlands.
Future meetings include a granddaughter/mother/daughter tea, and an event at Ivy at the Glenn in SouthGlenn. Additionally, the LTAC Guild will sponsor a tent on Arbor Day, May 4, in Lone Tree by the tennis courts. Free coffee will be offered, and information about the guild will be available for anyone who is interested and would like to stop by.
