M-e-o-w…dining for cats in Castle Pines

On Thursday, February 28, the

Cat Care Society (CCS) will hold its annual fundraiser at La Dolce Vita in Castle Pines. Twenty percent (20%) of all proceeds from customers dining in for lunch or dinner will be donated to CCS.

CCS, founded in 1981, is a non-profit organization that was established to help improve the quality of life for homeless, injured and abused cats in the Denver metro area. The CCS shelter provides a temporary refuge for up to 45 adult cats until a permanent home can be found.

Lunch hours at La Dolce Vita are from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. Please make reservations two days prior for lunch to ensure proper staffing. Dinner hours are from 4 p.m. to 10 p.m. No flyers will be necessary for the event. Owner Ron Girardi said he will honor all customers on that day as benefitting the CCS shelter.

Ranger is full of personality and longing for a family to call his own.

According to Castle Pines resident and CCS volunteer Kyle Herbertson, “Here’s how donations help Cat Care Society: One thousand dollars ($1,000) cares for 30 kittens, including shots, spays/neuters, microchips, food and litter. Fifty dollars ($50) provides antibiotics for a sick cat. Twenty-five dollars ($25) buys one kitten two weeks worth of food. Please stop into La Dolce Vita on February 28 to help the kitties!”
