The Homeschoolers of Castle Rock joined many other volunteers to pack shoeboxes for children. Pictured here, volunteers listen intently to instructions before filling Christmas shoeboxes for Operation Christmas Child.

A group of homeschoolers from Castle Rock, Castle Pines, and surrounding communities gathered in November to volunteer at the Operation Christmas Child packing center in Colorado Springs. This is the third annual trip the group has taken to volunteer at the center.

Along with hundreds of other volunteers, the Homeschoolers of Castle Rock helped to prepare and pack hundreds of shoeboxes that were shipped all over the world to children in need. The group feels that this is a great way to give back to the communities that they have been a part of for so long.

However, this is not the group’s only way of giving back. During the years, the Homeschoolers of Castle Rock have been involved with many organizations, from helping to organize Halloween activities at Castle Rock’s Lowell Ranch to providing aid for the Women’s Crisis & Family Outreach Center in Castle Rock.
