The Castle Pines community rocked out at its first-ever free Concert in the Park in July. The event, sponsored by the Castle Pines North Master Association, was a rockin’ success as local rock and roll band The Nacho Men took to the stage.

Hundreds of fans packed in the field at Coyote Ridge Park with picnic blankets, chairs, food, and lots of family fun.

Members of the New Life Church were on hand raising money with the sale of grilled hot dogs and hamburgers (pictured right), and the Castle Pines Art and Cultural Foundation was in attendance selling Christmas ornaments.

The Nacho Men are a Colorado favorite, with their unique blend of rock and roll, dance, costume changes, and improv. The concert included renditions of classics like the Village People’s “YMCA.” Their rendition of Michael Jackson’s “Beat It” was complete with sparkle glove and an over-the-top costume.

Concert goers had a blast, staying dry even though the skies hinted rain most of the night. Plans are already in the works for what surely will become an annual Castle Pines event!
