Spring sports … it is time to get ready to play Citizen Snow & Ice Removal Responsibilities

Spring will be here soon, so it’s the perfect time to get registered for sports leagues and activities. Here is a quick reference guide to some of the most popular leagues and recreational activities around.

Castle Pines Athletics

Spring soccer begins in late March and runs through May 18. The co-ed recreational program is available for children ages four to third grade.  Soccer Tots, a program designed for three-year-olds, is back again this year.  All practices and games are held at the four neighborhood parks in Castle Pines.  Registration begins in early January and runs through February 25.  To learn more about the programs offered in Castle Pines, visit www.castlepinesathletics.com, or e-mail play@castlepinesathletics.com.

Castle Rock Recreation Center

Castle Rock Recreation Center offers a variety of sports and activities. For more information and to register, visit www.crgov.com and click on “program details and registration.”

Colorado Storm of Castle Rock

Colorado Storm is currently registering U6 through U14 recreational boys and girls soccer. The season begins on March 16 and runs through May 18. Visit www.coloradostorm.com/castlerock for more information or to register.

Cougars Lacrosse

The Cougars Lacrosse mission is to give kids a chance to play the most exciting sport on earth while emphasizing proper fundamentals, good sportsmanship and teamwork. Cougars Lacrosse organizes teams for boys in second through eighth grades and teams for girls in third through eighth grades. The season starts in late February and runs through May. DC Dolphins

DC Dolphins Youth Athletics offers a host of youth sports. Volleyball registration runs through January 18 and practices will begin in February. Baseball registration runs through January 31 with practices beginning in March. Check the Dolphins website at www.dc-dolphins.org to learn more, including information about summer softball and fall cheerleading and football.

Real Colorado

Real Colorado offers youth recreational and competitive soccer leagues. Spring soccer registration runs through January 18. Visit www.realcolorado.net for more information or to register.

Safe Splash Swim School

Get ready for summer. Safe Splash Swim School is a year-round warm water swim school for ages six months and older. Parent-tot lessons are available, too. For information and to register, visit www.safesplash.com.

South Metro Volleyball

Registration for the spring session of South Metro Volleyball’s competitive youth league for all ages opens on February 4. Many practices and games take place in Castle Pines at American Academy.
