Veterans Monument dedication – August 3

The much-anticipated dedication of the Douglas County Veterans Monument will take place on Saturday, August 3 at 10 a.m.

“This patriotic ceremony culminates two years of discussion and four years of dedicated effort by the volunteer Douglas County Veterans Monument Foundation (DCVMF) board members and many other citizens of Douglas County,” stated Henry Bohne, president of the DCVMF board of directors.

The new sculpture “Freedom’s Keeper” by Bill Hueg of Peacock Studios will be dedicated. The Monument Plaza is located at the corner of Wilcox and Fourth Street in Castle Rock. For more information, contact www.dcvmf.org.
