Womenade, a group of local women “making lemonade out of life’s lemons,” celebrated the season December 4 and raised more than $2,300 for families in need.  The “Christmas tree tour” took place at Pat Nohavec-Fink’s home, which was decorated with numerous themed trees that wowed everyone who attended.

Since 2004, Womenade has been assisting local families through quarterly potlucks in homes in Castle Pines, Castle Rock, and other nearby areas.  Womenade encourages bringing a potluck dish to share and a $25 donation but does not require either.  The gatherings are an opportunity to network, socialize, and make new friends in the community.

One hundred percent of the donations collected are given to women or families in need in the area, nominated through the Womenade network.
