Spector, Dodd & Associates hosted a community paper shred and computer recycling event on Saturday, August 1.
The event was a rousing success, with more than 200 cars dropping off recycling. The event raised roughly $1,500 for Connect Us, a nonprofit organization whose mission is to help develop skills in young children with Autism. The goal is to help the children become more socially competent and self-confident through a variety of guided learning techniques.
XPress Shred destroyed more than 8,900 pounds of paper, and the electronics company recycled more than 5,000 pounds of electronics.
