The shop owners at the Village at Castle Pines (VACP) kicked off spring in a big way with their inaugural Spring Fling event on April 25th.  Hundreds of neighbors and friends came together to celebrate on a typical Colorado spring day that brought both sunshine and afternoon rain.

The merchants of the VACP worked and planned for months in order to make the day special for the community.  Attendees enjoyed yummy treats from gourmet food trucks, live music, a hilarious dog show and contest, drawings, giveaways, and specials throughout the shopping center.  Debbie Salazar, owner of SmartLife Audio and Video was one of the primary organizers of the event and remarked, “It was so nice to see the community come together after a long winter.  So much fun and true enjoyment!  From the beginning, the Spring Fling was designed to be interactive with the community through a variety of demonstrations throughout the day presented by each of the businesses.  All the shop owners were so happy to see the support from the community.  We look forward to having more events!”

Mike Froelich, owner of The Pet Stuff Place invited “Every Creature Counts” an organization that specializes in puppy adoptions to attend the event.  The organization was successful in placing 11 of the 14 puppies that they brought [for adoption] and Froelich was thrilled, “It was a really great day!”

The VACP is continually growing and improving with new merchants and new enthusiasm for bringing great events to the community.  To learn more about the VACP and to learn about upcoming events, visit www.VillageAtCastlePines.com.
