Despite a week of warm, sunny weather, the clouds rolled in and snow started falling on December 14 just as the Jingle Bell 5K run/walk was about to begin.  Castle Pines friends and neighbors met in Washington Park to support Team Stutler and raise funds to help find a cure for arthritis, the nation’s leading cause of disability.

All participants wear a holiday-themed costume and tie jingle bells to their shoe laces, creating a fun, festive race.  The Castle Pines group wore costumes that included a santa suit, a morphsuit, wrapped presents, and various holiday socks and hats.

Despite the cold, Team Stutler braved a tail-gate after the race, warming up with chili and cornbread and discussing what to wear for next year’s Jingle Bell run!

The event is just shy of its $101,000 goal.  For more information or to donate, visit www.jinglebellrundenver.org
