Neighborhood winery showcases new wines with friends

Local winery Ruby Trust Cellars held its annual release party and open house on August 29 and 30 and received rave reviews from the approximately 450 people who visited over the course of the two-day event.
Castle Pines Village residents Basil Badwan and Rose Martinez attended for the first time and thoroughly enjoyed themselves. “The wine tasting and open house was a great way to see our neighbors while sampling wines and learning about a fine Colorado winery,” remarked Martinez.
Winemaker Braden Dodds and Owner Ray Bruening were thrilled with the success of the event, which showcased their 2013 vintage wines. “What a fantastic couple of days! It was great to see so many familiar faces and we appreciated the opportunity to make so many new friends,” commented Bruening.
In addition to showcasing their bestselling red wines – including Gunslinger, the Smuggler, Fortune Seeker, Bandits Pass, and Stranglehold – the owners were pleased to offer a handful of cases of a Reserve Fortune Seeker (100 percent Petit Verdot), which sold out during the event.
Dodds remarked, “These events are really special for us because it allows us the opportunity to educate people about our Colorado wines, and it offers the opportunity for our guests to see exactly how we make our wines.”
