The Village Idiots Cycling Club (VIC2) held a used bike drive in April, and the members were excited to collect more than 50 used bikes.

Sponsored by club member Audrey Will of Coldwell Banker, this annual event benefits Project ReCycle, which is a local nonprofit that refurbishes the bikes and gives them to low-income children.  The children who receive the bikes must meet certain goals, including good grades, and then they are given the bikes along with a helmet and water bottle.

The bikes were given away during the Project ReCycle Dream Bike event (pictured above).

The VIC2 was started in 2007 by Castle Pines Village residents John and Lesia Rehl and now comprises an active group of residents from Castle Pines who share a love of cycling, socializing and helping those in need.  The club is open to all levels of riders.  To learn more, visit www.VillageIdiotsCyclingClub.org.
