The Ms. Colorado Senior America (MCSA) Pageant is coming to Douglas County, and applications for contestants are now being accepted. The pageant will be held on Saturday, May 26 at the Lone Tree Arts Center (LTAC).

“The 2017 queen, Jeannine Montgomerie, has had a year of performances and activities with an unbridled spirit of volunteerism, and she has served her reign well. Montgomerie competed in October in Atlantic City, New Jersey at the national Ms. Senior America Pageant and has followed with passion her platform on homelessness. Following her performance and final walk as MCSA 2017, she will be crowning our new 2018 MCSA Queen in May at the LTAC. We are very excited to hold the Pageant at the LTAC. It is a wonderful facility, and I hope everyone comes out to see these amazing seniors. If you know a lady that fits the criteria, please encourage her to compete,” said René Green, Colorado state pageant administrator. “She will have the time of her life!”

The MCSA Pageant is a nonprofit organization created to emphasize and give honor to women with extraordinary talents and achievements who have reached the “Age of Elegance” (age 60 plus). Through the Colorado Cameo Club, these women continue voluntarily showcasing their talents year-round, performing at various venues in the Colorado region and serving as role models to inspire and enrich the lives of other senior Americans, as well as our nation’s youth. Contestants will be judged by a panel of pageant judges, who will look for the lady who best exemplifies the inner beauty and dignity of a Ms. Senior America. Criteria used will be based on a private interview with the judges, an evening gown competition displaying poise, a statement that conveys her “philosophy of life” and a talent presentation that demonstrates that a woman’s accomplishments in music, art, dance or other talent need not diminish with maturing age. The final application deadline is April 1; however, there are a limited number of spaces, so sign up early.
