Jingle bells to cure arthritis

Team Stutler has been participating in the annual JBR Denver for more than ten years. Michelle Stutler of Cerney Circle, who battles rheumatoid arthritis, brings friends and family from Castle Pines and the surrounding area together each year but had a record turnout this year with 20 people and seven dogs!

The Arthritis Foundation’s Jingle Bell Run (JBR) is a fun way to be festive while racing or walking to raise funds and awareness to cure America’s number one cause of disability. The weather was wonderful on December 10 at Washington Park for the participants of JBR Denver. Jingle bells were tied to running shoes and flip flops, as well to as holiday sweaters and even dogs.

The Giampietro and Cooke families attended JBR Denver for Larson Cooke. Jen Cooke of Buffalo Ridge Estates said, “The JBR is a fun family outing and we wanted to show Larson (pictured center) support while raising awareness for juvenile idiopathic arthritis (JIA).” Larson suffers from JIA and must endure twice-monthly shots to keep his symptoms at bay.
