Summer fun – getting outside enjoying family, friends, and neighbors, shopping at farmers markets, going fishing, bicycling, barbecuing – great summer days and so many things to do. If you enjoy classy and classic cars, “really cool” hot rods, clean machines, macho trucks or sweet corvettes, cruise on down to the former Safeway parking lot every third Saturday of the month for Pistons in the Pines. Returning after last year’s success of showing off awesome rides, the car show will run from June 15 through October 19 from 8 a.m. to 11 a.m.
Don’t be square, hop in your jalopy and putt on down to the show. There will be plenty of room for all, with access within walking distance to coffee, donuts, breakfast, sandwiches, hamburgers, pizza and wings. The event is free and open to the public. The Douglas County Sheriff’s Office will have a presence, so please be respectful and obey all traffic laws.
