Editorial Guidelines
The editorial page of a newspaper is not about news. It is about personal views. Content appearing on the Editorial Page of The Castle Pines Connection consist of “Letters to the Editor” where members of the public write in with comments related to articles or other editorials that have appeared in The Castle Pines Connection, and the “Point of View” which represents the views of our newspaper's editor and/or it's editorial board.
Articles published by The Castle Pines Connection, LLC, in both print and electronic forms, are intended to report on issues and events of interest to the City of Castle Pines North and the greater Castle Pines community.
Any editorials submitted should be true, accurate, fair and balanced, relevant and significant to readers, providing a broad spectrum of information and viewpoints. Content of editorials should also display evidence of being guided by ethical values of care, compassion, community and civility.
All submissions must include your name, address, phone number and e-mail. Letters must be limited to 350 words or fewer and may be edited for grammar, clarity and length. The Editor has the right to edit, revise, or reject any news or written opinion that is inappropriate or inconsistent with these Editorial Guidelines. No anonymous editorials will be printed; all must include contact information.
