We do Custom Bike Fitting!
Leading Edge Physical Therapy,LLC is now offering Custom Bike Fitting.
What is Custom Bike Fitting? This is a process where several measurements are taken and changes are made to your saddle, handlebar and cleat position to allow for optimum efficiency on your bike. This will reduce bike related injuries and pain.
Why come to a Physical Therapist and not your local Bike Shop for Bike Fit? As a Physical Therapist, Sara's background in biomechanics and efficiency of motion in the body brings a specialty to Bike Fit that you won't get from a bike shop. She will look at your musculoskeletal strengths and weaknesses (joint motion, flexibility and muscle strength), your current position on the bike and how you move on the bike.
What are some other advantages of Bike Fit? She can make changes to your bike to allow for optimum aerodynamics and power production and reduce the pain you may be experiencing on the bike. She can also reduce your risk of injury from poor positioning on the bike. Higher level functioning on the bike is a process progressed over time, so your ideal position may take some time to achieve. We can enhance your performance by giving you exercises and stretches to help you correct muscle imbalances related to your pain, weakness or injury.
What is Sara's training for Bike Fit? Sara received her training from Eric Moen, a physical therapist from Kenmore, WA. He has been involved in the cycling world, as a racer, coach and consultant, since 1986. Eric is certified through the Retul Bike Fit program and has provided content for Carmichael Training Systems publications.
What is the cost of a Bike Fitting? $150.00
