John Murgel – Extension County Specialist – Douglas County, Front Range Region
John received his BA in Ecology and Evolutionary Biology from CU-Boulder and a Master’s degree in Horticulture from CSU. His experience includes 10 years of public horticulture. He joined Extension in 2020; his research interests and expertise focus on native and adapted plants, xeriscape, and display horticulture. He is a subject matter expert on ornamental horticulture, native plants, drought-tolerant landscaping, and pollinators.
