In October, the City of Castle Pines and the Castle Pines Chamber of Commerce hosted an inaugural event “Fall Fest” in the former Safeway shopping center, the Village Square business district and in The Village at Castle Pines shops on Happy Canyon. Hundreds in the community ventured out for the fun and frolic of the season. Entertainment included face painting, a photo booth, bungee trampolines, bouncy house and slide, blow-up axe throwing, and a horse-drawn carriage.

Hundreds of people descended on the Village Shops in the Village at Castle Pines on August 13 for the Vino in the Village, an annual Castle Pines Chamber of Commerce event that showcases the best restaurants and wine purveyors in the area.  Attendees learned about wine pairings and also tasted top-notch bourbon and whiskey.  Eateries in the Village Shops and from around Douglas County handed out samples of their best dishes.

New residents eager to get out and meet their neighbors joined at The Exchange in May for the New Resident Welcome reception.  Hosted by The Castle Pines Connection the Chamber and the City, this quarterly event is a community favorite.

Special thanks to Lowe’s Castle Rock for donating 5-gallon buckets chock-full of “must have” items for a new homeowners and to all the other chamber businesses that contributed goodies for the welcome bags.
