City approves contract to improve community center

Renderings of what the future Castle Pines Community Center will look like. Renovations, expected to start in March and be completed this summer, will improve the space for public and government meetings.

On February 10, the Castle Pines City Council approved a construction contract for renovations to the Castle Pines Community Center located at 7404 Yorkshire Drive. The space began as a sales center for the community, and for more than two decades, the facility has been (and will continue to be) the location for the Castle Pines North Metro District offices and board meetings.
The upgrades will improve the space for use as a public meeting area, for City council meetings, for City board and commission meetings and Castle Pines North Metropolitan District meetings.
The renovations will include improved amenities such as a dedicated conference room, upgrades to the kitchen facility, new audio-visual equipment and more. The current space will close at the beginning of March so construction can commence with a midsummer completion date.
“I’m excited for the upcoming community center renovations,” stated Mayor Tracy Engerman.” They will improve an important asset and offer an upgraded space for residents, City meetings and use by local organizations.”
