Friends of Horses Show a Success!

The Friends of Horses Rescue and Adoption’s (FOHRAA) first annual Horse Show last November 15 was a success!

According to Sandy McFarland, a CPN resident who volunteers along with her children for this organization, “The horse show was great and the kids had a blast!”

There were a few CPN residents in attendance who learned of the event from the recent article on the cpnhoa.org web site and in November’s community e-mail (click here to see previous article).

Friends of Horses is based in Metropolitan Denver, and strives to place foals and horses in a adoptive loving homes. Most of the rescued horses are foals, retired thoroughbred racers, and horses that have been rescued from slaughterhouses.

The organization is also participating in a fundraiser this holiday season through a program called iGive.com. The concept is simple. You sign up one time at iGive.com, designating Friends of Horses Rescue and Adoption as your charity of choice. Then, every time you shop on line, you go to iGive.com’s main page, shop at over 500 stores, and order as usual. A percent of your purchase then goes to help FOHRAA!

For more information, visit the FOHRAA website at http://www.getahorse.org.
