Kids create book characters on craft pumpkins
The “Pumpkin Shine” event was a fun, at-home project put on by the Timber Trial Elementary Parent Teacher Organization. Students in kindergarten through fifth grade, along with their families, decorated a craft pumpkin to resemble their favorite character in a book they had read or listened to. Characters ranged from classic children’s books to popular graphic novels and other forms of literature. It was a creative way for the children to express their love of books.

Amazing resemblance of their book characters Fancy Nancy (above) and Captain Underpants (below) came to life through a little imagination and craft pumpkins.
