Dearly Departed – April 13 & 14:
RCHS drama presents a FREE performance of the comedy, “Dearly Departed,” which is the story of a quirky family that is reunited for a funeral, and all of the hilarious family dynamics that ensue. “Dearly Departed” will be double cast with members of the advanced drama class; one cast (featuring Kira Kopchik, Zach Anderson, Maddie Suter, Jacob Donaldson and Rachel Cook) will perform Wednesday, and the other on Thursday (featuring Meghan Enright, Matt Kane, Tori Howard, Jake Henry and Courtney Frahm).
Both shows will begin at 7 p.m. at Rock Canyon High School, 5810 McArthur Ranch Road, Highlands Ranch.
Moon Over Buffalo – May 12-13:
RCHS drama will close out its year with the popular play, “Moon Over Buffalo.” Also a comedy, the story features an acting company lead by a has-been husband and wife team who experience marital difficulties just as the famous producer is coming to watch them to consider them for casting. Unfortunately, the leading man has been out on a drunken binge and wears the wrong costume, says the wrong lines and finally falls off of the stage!
“Moon Over Buffalo” will feature many seniors in their last performance; most scored excellent or superior marks at The Colorado State Thespian Festival and plan to pursue theatre in college. Don’t miss your last chance to see these future stars – tickets will be sold at the door for $6, and the show begins at 7 p.m.
