Economic Development in Castle Pines

submitted by the City of Castle Pines North

The Castle Pines Economic Development Council (CPEDC) is an extension of the Castle Pines Chamber of Commerce that works in partnership with the City of Castle Pines North Economic Development Committee (EDC). These three entities are the primary vehicle for promoting economic growth within the city and in the trade area.

Goals to support existing businesses and recruit complimentary businesses to the city will support the current businesses and drive more traffic for sustainable future within the city.

The committees work with Douglas County, South Denver Partnership, Denver Metro Area Chambers and the state to promote solid transportation and infrastructure solutions that will make transit within the region more efficient and attract right businesses because of the amenities our community can provide.

The goal is to work with developers far enough in advance of new developments that a strong relationship enforces the need for great community partners that will bring the same goals to the community that our residents want and deserve. We have brought in consultants from cities such as Denver, Westminster and Lone Tree to help develop goals for our new city.

Over the past year, the CPEDC is helping the city to develop a master plan, which focuses on the needs of our community, its citizens and businesses.

The ultimate goal is to make Castle Pines North a warm community to visit, play, work and live with amenities and business that compliment the Ridge Golf Course, Daniel’s Park and the citizens’ planned vision of the city.

The EDC would like to thank the efforts of the Castle Pines Chamber, Don Bobeda and Warren Lynge for their leadership roles working with the community on a successful library fundraising campaign that supported a local library to open in the city. Having a local library with planned events for citizens and business support will directly impact the EDC efforts in the city.
