American Academy gets grant for its library

Information provided by American Academy

Thanks to our illustrious librarian, Juliann Brant, the American Academy (AA) library just received the National Endowment for the Humanities (NEH) We the People “More Perfect Union” Bookshelf grant.

As a result, the AA library will be receiving a “bookshelf” of books and other materials pertaining to this year’s NEH grant theme “More Perfect Union.” The Bookshelf grants are part of the NEH’s We the People program, which aims to encourage and strengthen the teaching, study, and understanding of American history and culture through libraries, schools, colleges, universities, and cultural institutions, and ties into our Core Knowledge history program.

For more information about this grant program and the specific books being sent to our school, please check out the NEH website at www.neh.gov.
