This spring, Castle Pines Athletics (CPA) celebrated 15 years in business. The Retreat resident Lane Roberts founded CPA in 2009, and more than 12,660 children have participated in the year-round athletic programs. Although Lane no longer lives in Colorado, CPA continues strong because of the hundreds of volunteer parent coaches and thousands of local kids who participate.

In 2015, CPA became a partner of the NFL Flag Football program and has hosted 21 seasons. A special mention to Castle Pines Orthodontics, CPA’s first sponsor, for supporting CPA for 55 seasons and counting. Also, Shannon Terry, league manager, and Matt McDonald, NFL Flag Football Commissioner, who both remain dedicated to the CPA programs since 2010.

“Castle Pines Athletics is about fostering positive childhood experiences that lead to happy, healthy young adults,” said Paula Romero, assistant manager for CPA. “We are honored to provide the opportunity for local families to ‘Play at Home’ with friends and neighbors while strengthening community right here in Castle Pines.”
