Mother – daughter boutique gets funky

A very fun and funky new mother-daughter boutique is opening out of Daniels Gate called the Royal Chic Boutique. Inspired by her ten year old daughter, Brooke’s, desire to open her own boutique, Dawn Jacobsen says she saw a need for “trendy tween merchandise that is affordable.” The Jacobsens are providing some exceptional deals on lively, contemporary items.
Their inventory includes sweaters, skirts, t-shirts, hats, belts, purses, scarfs, wraps, jewelry, and just all around bling for not only tweens but women, teens, and younger girls as well. Jacobsen, a frequent shopper at T.J. Maxx, Ross and Nordstrom Rack, says, “I like to shop, and I know the value of things” which gives her some expertise in the boutique arena. Jacobsen refers to their line as “cute, affordable fashion,” with everything priced under $100. Jacobsen has seen similar boutique items being sold in Vail for more than $600 that she is selling for $69.95.
Jacobsen, a boutique realtor with Jacobsen Realty, is “cross selling” her boutique merchandise as she showcases her real estate listings all at the same time. She has a great deal of experience staging homes on the market. Jacobsen says it is not only the home but she is also “selling a lifestyle” and says that home buyers “relate to things they like” which her boutique items will help satisfy.
Royal Chic Boutique will host a launch party open to the public on Saturday, February 13 at one of Jacobsen’s listings, 906 Sunset Court, Castle Rock from 2 p.m. to 6 p.m., complete with fashion show. Be sure to stop by and check it out!
The boutique will operate through home parties and on-line orders as well. Shoppers will be able to view the boutique’s merchandise on the website at www.royalchicboutique.com, which will be up and running by the end of March.
The website will be based on a fairytale story of the “queen” mother and her “princess” daughter and will feature a fun filled tween room offering merchandise that “the kids are now into” such as overnight bags.
